Solid wood comes from a precise portion of the tree trunk, the heartwood, i.e. the innermost part. This means that each type of solid wood will have its own characteristics depending on the type of plant it was made from. The starting wood, in order to be used and worked, needs a long seasoning period to stabilize and lose part of the humidity. This process can take place naturally or through artificial drying processes. Solid wood is a completely natural material and therefore it must be expected that over time it may undergo more or less slight alterations in color and shape.
Recyclable and regenerable: solid wood.
